The 10 Day Program (mild detox)

Drink a minimum of two litres of water a day. Drink more if you can.

The mild detox is as follows:

Day 1 – drink water only.

Day 2 – eat fresh fruit only, excluding bananas.

Day 3 – eat fresh fruit, excluding bananas until lunch time then eat or drink nothing for the rest of the day.

Day 4 – eat or drink nothing until lunch time then eat fresh fruit for the rest of the day.

Days 5, 6 and 7 – eat any fresh fruit and raw vegetables.

Days 8, 9 and 10 – eat any fresh fruit and raw or steamed vegetables. Include –

Grains: brown rice, barley, rye, oats, maize. Legumes: peas, lentils, pulses. Vegetable protein: beans, nuts, seeds.

Thereafter – eat any fresh fruit and vegetables, grains, legumes, vegetable proteins and introduce, in moderation – Dairy protein: eggs, milk, cheese, yoghurt, etc. Animal protein: chicken and fish. Fat: butter, cream, avo, olives and cold pressed oil.

Liquids allowed – water, rooibos, fresh herbal teas, coffee substitutes in moderation, 100% fruit juice. Preferably fresh herb tea and fresh squeezed fruit juice.

Avoid – wheat products: bread, rolls, pasta, bran, muffins, cereals, biscuits, cakes. Processed fats. Sugar.
